Augusta - Today, the League of Women Voters of Maine responded to the federal court decision to reject plaintiffs' request to cease implementation of the results of the November 6 election in Maine's second congressional district.
"Today's court decision is an important affirmation of the constitutionality of ranked choice voting and represents a significant victory, not just for Mainers but for people across the country who want to follow our lead in making elections as democratic and fair as possible," said Jill Ward, President of the League of Women Voters of Maine.
