In anticipation of the June 2023 Dover-Foxcroft municipal elections, the Highlands Regional Chapter of the League of Women Voters of Maine is hosting a nonpartisan Meet the Candidates Forum in Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, May 20 from 10 to noon, at Thompson Free Library in Dover-Foxcroft. All declared candidates for Selectman, Assessor and Overseer of the Poor have been invited to participate. This is a public service offered by the LWV for voters to have an opportunity to hear from the candidates and ask them questions about issues of concern.
The Town of Dover-Foxcroft Municipal Candidate Election and Budget Validation Referendum is on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Polls are located at the Morton Avenue Municipal Building gymnasium. Polls open for voting 8 am to 8 pm. Voter registration opens at 7 am. Absentee voting begins on Friday, May 12. The last day to vote absentee without a reason is June 8 at 4:30 pm.
