The League of Women Voters of the Bangor Area and the Orrington Public Library are hosting a Candidates Forum for those running for the Orrington Board of Selectmen on Thursday, May 23. The Forum will begin at 6:30 PM at the Town Office. It will be live streamed through the Library's Facebook page.
The public may submit questions before and during the event through the Library’s Facebook page. Questions are also welcomed from the in-person audience. All questions from the public will be written and read by the moderator.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League does not endorse any political party or candidate for elective office.
