The League of Women Voters of the Bangor Area and the town of Hermon are hosting candidate forums for candidates for the Hermon School Committee and candidates for town council. The forums will be held on Thursday, May 30 in the Hermon High School auditorium.
The forum for School Committee will begin at 6:30 pm. The Forum for Town Council Candidates will begin at 7:30 pm. This is an in-person event, with candidates and audience present. The forum will be recorded and available for viewing after the event. Questions from the public, whether in person or in advance, must be written and will be read by the moderator.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League does not endorse any political party or candidate for elective office.
