Bangor Candidate Forums: School Committee and City Council

The League of Women Voters of the Bangor Area is hosting forums for candidates for Bangor School Committee and for Bangor City Council on Tuesday, October 8 in the temporary City Council Chambers, in the Penquis Building at 262 Harlow Street.  All candidates for these seats whose petitions were received and verified by the City Clerk were invited to participate. The School Committee Forum begins at 5:30 pm and the City Council Forum begins at 6:45 pm.

This will be an in-person event, with candidates and audience present. The forums will also be streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and on the LWVME social media, and broadcast later on the city’s cable TV station. The public may submit questions before the event at bangor@lwvme.org.  All questions from the public, whether in person or in advance, must be written and will be read by the moderator.  

 This forum is a non-partisan event designed to allow Bangor residents to learn more about the candidates in this election. Bangor residents are encouraged to attend.
