Our democracy is worth fighting for. Maine leads the way in election reform and voting rights, but there is still unfinished business and looming threats on the horizon. Are you looking for hopeful, concrete, and winneable campaigns that will protect Maine's democracy? We have big plans for 2025.
Our League is organizing this event to help harness post-election community energy and invite community members, old and new. Our lead speaker will be Meredith Sumpter, President and CEO of FairVote, a national nonpartisan organization seeking better elections for all.
The first half-hour we'll dive into the important ongoing work of the League and our legislative agenda for a State Voting Rights Act, Ranked Choice Voting, and Clean Elections. The second half will be an interactive discussion on how to get involved and take action.
