The League of Women Voters of Maine-Midcoast invites the community and members old and new to a get-together on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Rockland Public Library’s Community Room.

We will be joined by Ann Luther, who became a member of the League in 1998. She served as President from 2003 to 2007, and co-president from 2007-2009. She remains an active member of the LWVME Board.

In her work for the League, Ann has advocated for greater understanding of public policy issues and the League’s priority issues in Clean Elections & Campaign Finance Reform, Voting Rights, Ethics in Government, Ranked Choice Voting, and Repeal of Term Limits. She is active in the LWV-Downeast and hosts their monthly radio show, “The Democracy Forum”, on WERU FM Community Radio.

The meeting will cover a brief history of the League, current legislative priorities such as the upcoming voter suppression referendum, as well as the continuing presence of a local league in the midcoast area.

Refreshments will be served.
