Democracy Forum -- Election Reflections: July 14, 2020

Friday, July 17, 2020
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

LWV-Downeast hosts a monthly radio program on democracy in cooperation with WERU FM. This month, we will talk about the July 14 primary and special referendum election, our first under COVID restrictions. How did it go? What can we learn for November? Do we know yet who won? Will ranked choice voting be a factor? Special Guests: Matt Dunlap, Maine Secretary of State; Amy Fried, Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of Maine; and Jill Goldthwait, Award-winning columnist for the Ellsworth American and the Mount Desert Islander. Learn more here.

Live programming at WERU is a casualty of the ongoing civil defense against COVID-19, so this show will be pre-recorded July 16. No listener calls will be taken, but comments may be emailed to news@weru.org with Democracy Forum on the subject line.
