Local Elections and Why They Matter

Hosted On Zoom
Wednesday, October 7, 2020
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Local governments matter. They make decisions that affect your life directly, from local schools to public safety, from affordable housing to public transit. They're responsible for serving you and your community. Voting in your local races is just as crucial as voting for candidates in state and federal races.

This webinar will offer you the chance to ask questions about what's on your ballot, down-ticket races, who's running, and how Maine runs local elections.

Former Representative Peggy Rotundo, school board member for South Thomaston Lane Curren, and Kennebec County administrator Bob Devlin will join us. Our own Anna Kellar will be the moderator. Will Hayward will provide his weekly election update at the beginning.
