Each year the LWVPA calls together its members to kick off some holiday cheer with drink, pizza and sweets. We reflect on the past year and look forward to the next one. While this year is DIFFERENT, we are still going to gather and virtually:
- Say hello to friends and members
- Learn about a push for a Money-Out-Of-Politics future
- Hear about League work and meetings in the first half of 2021
Our guests will be Amy Cartmell and Jane Gallagher, co-leaders of the Maine Chapter of the nonpartisan American Promise organization. They will tell us about the Stand With Maine project to build support for a Constitutional Amendment that will free Congress to legislate financial limits on our political systems. The LWVME has always been at the forefront of the push for Clean Elections in Maine. Our work continues to limit the amount of money in politics. Together, let’s learn about this national and statewide effort.
