For over 100 years, the League has been a powerful, grassroots organization that works to educate voters and make government more accountable to the people.
The legacy of the League of Women Voters is bold.
Today, the League stands for the rights of all people to be active participants in their government. We educate voters, empower people to participate in civic life, and advocate for policies that strengthen our democracy.
Membership in the League of Women Voters is open to people of all genders, backgrounds, and political beliefs who are age 16 or older and who agree with our foundational principles.
Membership dues contribute to the success of our work by covering a portion of our operating costs. These dues ensure that we can remain independent and accountable to our members. Dues are not tax deductible. Learn more about what it means to be a League member.
Membership Update
All Leagues across the country have transitioned to a new membership portal, called ChapterSpot, which gives users direct access to their account. You can sign up for a new membership or renew online in a more streamlined, easy-to-use portal.
How does it work?
Choose one of the buttons below to get started. Plug in your zip code, and it will redirect you to the ChapterSpot website. You will log into the new system using your email address. You will be given the option to sign up to auto-renew annually, and your membership will last a year after your last renewal. You will also be able to update your own information, including contact information.
What are the dues?
There are several annual rates to choose from, but note that monthly payments will not be supported. Members may also choose to pay any amount (at a minimum of $20). There will still be the option to renew by check for members, but members who are able to access the portal and renew that way are encouraged to do so. We do not want these dues to be a barrier to membership. All are welcome, regardless of financial circumstances. Please let us know if these rates do not work for you.
Questions?
