[PORTLAND, ME] – The League of Women Voters of Maine published its Easy-to-Read Voter Guide, a staple publication, to be distributed across the state.
“There isn’t a better, more reliable nonpartisan resource out there to prepare voters to cast their ballot on November 8,” said Jill Ward, president of the League of Women Voters of Maine.
The nonpartisan Voter Guide includes general information on how to vote in person or via an absentee ballot, election processes, how Ranked Choice Voting works, and sample ballots. A web version can be viewed here.
Additionally, the League has launched its online voter database, Vote411.org. The tool allows users to bring up personalized voter information, including everything that will appear on their local ballot.
“Our Vote411 database covers every city and town in the state. No other voter guide is this inclusive or comprehensive. It helps voters find quick election information that they actually need so that they can make confident and informed choices on election day,” said Anna Kellar, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Maine.
League volunteers are committed to ensuring the print versions of the guide are available in regions across the state, but especially areas with low-propensity voters and voters with limited access to broadband and/or internet.
Mainers with election and voting questions can call or text the League’s hotline at: (207) 558-3333.
